Event Information
Now in its eleventh year, TCEC remains one of the few conferences in Texas dedicated to advancing higher education in correctional settings. This event brings together the full spectrum of stakeholders—from formerly incarcerated individuals and college-in-prison programs to representatives from TDCJ, state agencies, legislators, and community partners—all deeply invested in supporting educational access and success for incarcerated learners.
This year's theme, “Generational Success: Building a Legacy Inside & Out,” highlights the transformative power of education across individuals, families, and communities. The program will feature a diverse lineup of sessions, including:
- Collaborative strategies from our Higher Education in Prison Partnership Panel
- Designing and sustaining student-centered, peer-tutoring programs
- Insights from the College Success Panel
- Starting a Prison Education Program (PEP) and navigating Best Interest Determinations, and more.
We encourage educators, program administrators, and those engaged in correctional and reentry education to join us for this dynamic event.
